Habitat: in areas of higher elevation, like heavy timber*
Diet: rodents and carrion at night; sometimes wolverines will eat weakened deer or other large animals, especially in deep snow*
Coloration: the fur is dark brown to black with a yellowish-brown to white stripe on their sides*
Mating: breeding occurs during the warmer months, the embryos implant in January, and 2-4 young are born in late march or early april*
Fun Facts: Wolverines are born blind and toothless.* A fully grown wolverine three feet long, a tail 1/4 the length of the body, and weigh 20-30 (or more) pounds.* Wolverines are part of the weasel family.*
